ValueBlue is the fast-growing B2B SaaS scale-up that enables organizations globally to achieve agile digital transformation. Our innovative collaboration platform helps CxOs and Architects to plan, design and manage their business transformation. We’ve just announced an exciting Series B funding round and are expanding rapidly. In order to support our further growth, we are currently recruiting for a Business Development Representative UK (BDR) based from our London office.

Are you eager to engage with organizations on how our collaboration platform BlueDolphin can best be used to support their digital business transformation? Then this is the role for you!

What will you be doing?

As a BDR you are a key member of the sales team, driving new business by generating inbound and outbound opportunities to fuel the delivery of the strategy for your region.

You act as the link between our marketing department and sales executives. Your main task consists of reaching out to companies to find a match with their need, nurturing those contacts and to provide our sales executives with potential opportunities.

You find your contacts either through cold outreach to the market by various channels or you follow up on leads fed to you by ValueBlue’s marketing department.

After you have proven to be successful in your role, we offer you the perspective to ‘manage your own deals’ with support from the sales manager. You can progress to owning the full sales cycle for SMB leads until deal closure or develop yourself towards other roles in our commercial team.

The team:

Our fast growing ValueBlue team of 75+ colleagues work across a range of functions including Product Management & Development, Sales & Account Management, Marketing, and Professional Services and Support. We currently have over 200 customers using BlueDolphin across the globe, from global corporations to financial, governmental and consumer organizations.

In this role you operate from our London office together with our UK based Sales Manager, you report into our NL based Inside Sales Director. You are part of a growing commercial team distributed across the globe consisting of highly experienced professionals.

What do you bring?

  • You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a related degree in business/IT or relevant work experience.
  • A proven track record (>2 years) of successful business development within other (SaaS) software companies, preferably business-to-business software.
  • Big plus: you have experience working with IT PM or CMBD or Architecture products
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills in English. Another European language (i.e. German, Norwegian, Danish, French) is considered an advantage.
  • You are currently living in the UK (in the proximity of London).
  • You are high energy, intelligent, driven, eager to learn, and committed to overachieve in all challenges you tackle
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a customer focused mindset
  • You easily make connections and are qualified as a good listener
  • You are independent as well a true teamplayer

Note: while we do work flexibly at ValueBlue, this is not a 100% remote role - we do expect you to be able to work from the office a couple of days a week and for team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions. Occasionally you will also be required to visit our NL office.
