The opportunity in short

The Financial Accountant role involves comprehensive management of the general ledger, debtor and creditor accounts, billing, financial transactions, and reporting. This position also encompasses the enhancement of financial department efficiency and assumes responsibility for project administration, including hour registration. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Dutch accounting rules, possess meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrate financial expertise, operating independently within their role.

Some of the responsibilities you'd have:

• Maintain precise general ledger records.
• Streamline financial workflows.
• Proactively oversee receivables, assets, and balance sheets.
• Ensure timely financial statement publication.
• Manage tax computation, returns, and bank payments.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly closing.
• Handle project hour registration for accurate financial planning.

A strong candidate would fill most of the boxes below:

• Native/Bilingual level of Dutch
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like AFAS or SAP 
• Around 5 years experience in the accountant area
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch accounting regulations and procedures
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

It would be an extra boost to your application if you have:

• Experience with payroll
• You have experience within Enterprise/B2B SaaS platforms;
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI
